My Thoughts on 'Versace for H&M'

Dear Readers,
The moment many of us have been waiting for is here: pictures of the Versace for H&M collection were finally released. My first thought when I saw them? I said, 'oh, I must post about this, right about now!'

I start by making a premise. I am not one of Versace's biggest followers. It's definitely not on my hate list, but it does not quite grace my 'Top Designers' list. But, to my surprise, I did spot a few numbers from this collection which I wouldn't mind to own.

Yet, before showing my favourite pieces, a few words on the collection as a whole. British Vogue has described the collection as one which draws 'on the heritage of the legendary fashion house', meaning that the collection is quintessentially 'Versace'. Their bright colours, their daring prints and their innovative cuts are all there.  The prices of the items are definitely more expensive than regular H&M pieces, but hey, what do you expect, it is Versace after all. A real Versace would cost you so much more anyway.

The following are a couple of my favourite pieces in this collection. I was particularly attracted to the bags, their 'minimal' pieces and some of the prints. Some others were slightly over the top for me, but I know some people out there will enjoy sporting them.

This skirt looks gorgeous!

Very Greek!

I want a belt like this so bad!

I like this, somehow!

Classic, but with a twist.
I ADORE how they reinterpreted the golden chain!

Yummy!

My favourite bag out of all of them!

The edgy, asymmetrical LBD!

Divine, my God!

This costs 40 pounds...not too bad right?

They did cushions too!
Perfect for a touch of colour!

The British Vogue website are showcasing all the pictures from the collection, so check that out if you want a full view of this collection. This was one pleasant surprise, too bad we don't have H&M here.

I'm off to sulk my afternoon away. We so need H&M here. Like, so bad!
